This Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) applies to the Chicago Women in Tech Conference (“ChiWitCon”) Services of Enova International, Inc., on behalf of itself and its subsidiaries and/or affiliates (“Enova” “we,” “our,” or “us”). ChiWitCon Services include: (i) the ChiWitCon website (https://www.chiwomenintech.com) and mobile experience (our “Websites”), (ii) physical events such as ChiWitCon’s annual conference, and (iii) virtual ChiWitCon events such as seminars, webcasts, podcast, webcasts and webinars (collectively “ChiWitCon Events”). This Privacy Policy does not apply to Enova’s other services or subsidiaries, or any other third parties, even if links to their websites are on our Websites. “You” or “your” means you as a user of our Websites or as a registrant, attendee, or participant in ChiWitCon Events.

Your privacy is important to us, so we have developed this Privacy Policy that outlines our privacy practice on how we process, collect, use, and share your Personal Information (defined below) as well as your privacy rights under certain privacy laws.

1. Categories and Sources of Personal Information We Collect

The type of information we collect about you depends on your use of our Services and the ways you interact with us. This may include information about:

  • How you use or visit our Websites;
  • Registration for and participation in ChiWitCon Events;
  • Information you provide, such as your name, email address, job title, company name, and industry information when you fill out online forms, surveys, or ChiWitCon Event registration document;
  • How we advertise and market to you, which includes sending promotional; and communications, targeting advertising, and presenting you with relevant offers.

We also obtain information from third party sources. We protect information obtained from third parties according to the privacy practices as described in this Privacy Policy. These third-party sources vary over time and may include:

  • Communication services, including email providers and social networks, when you give permission to access your information on such third-party services or networks;
  • Partners with which we offer co-branded products, services, or engage in joint marketing activities;
  • ChiWitCon business partners, including sponsors, speakers and community partners, who will be marketing and delivery content and products to you at the ChiWitCon Events (collectively, the “ChiWitCon Business Partners”);
  • Service providers to support functionality for our Services including our mobile applications, payment processing, authentication and account access, and customer support (“Service Provider”).

The Personal Information (“Personal Information”) we process may include the following:

  • Identifiers and contact details such as your name, email address, mailing address, travel booking details, contact telephone numbers;
  • Professional and employment information such as your job title and other business or company information;
  • Audio, electronic, or visual information such as video and audio recordings of certain ChiWitCon Event sessions.
  • Content consumption information about media content (e.g. videos, apps and games) you access through our Services;
  • Protected Classifications you provide to us such as your gender and your disability accommodation requests.
2. How We Use Your Personal Data

We may use personal data to:

  • Facilitate ChiWitCon Event logistics, including registration and catering;
  • Enhance your experience on our Websites and at ChiWitConEvents;
  • Respond to questions or outreach we receive via the Website or at ChiWitCon Events;
  • We may use contact details to send communications to you, such as your transaction status (including but not limited to, registration confirmations, and program attendance at the ChiWitCon Events), information about programs available from Enova or ChiWitCon, event announcements, important notices including those announcing changes to our terms or policies, and surveys.
3. How We Share Your Personal Data

We may share Personal Information with our affiliated entities and service providers, to support ChiWitCon Events, to carry out transactions you request and in furtherance of the internal business operations (not for marketing purposes) of Enova, including for research purposes to find ways to better provide the ChiWitCon Services or to assist in the creation of new services, events and programs. We may share your Personal Information to the extent that we are required to do so by law or in connection with any legal proceeding.

We may share Personal Information with the ChiWitCon Business Partners so that the ChiWitCon Business Partners may provide you with information about those ChiWitCon Business Partners’ products and services.

Additionally, we may share your Personal Information (which may include first and last name, email address, company, job title/position, industry, state, country) with ChiWitCon Business Partners, as further described below:

  • We may include your name and company in a digital or printed attendee roster for a ChiWitCon Event that may be provided to other attendees for networking purposes.
  • If you registered for a ChiWitCon Event, ChiWitCon may share your Personal Information with a ChiWitCon Business Partner for the purposes of sending marketing communications regarding their own products or services.
4. Media, Photography, and Videography

By participating in the ChiWitConEvents, you acknowledge that you may appear on film, video or your voice may be recorded.

  • Grant of Rights: You grant Enova and its agents the right to record, film, and photograph you. You grant us a non-exclusive, irrevocable license to use your likeness, voice, and name in any media (including social media, websites, and marketing materials) for promotional purposes.
  • Opt-Out: If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, please notify us in writing at chiwitcon@enova.com.
5. Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies

We may receive and store certain types of information whenever you interact with our Website. For example, like many websites, we use cookies and other tracking technologies (such as pixels and web beacons) (collectively, “Cookies”) to obtain certain types of information when your web browser accesses our Website and when you login, such as: your name and your email address.
We use Cookies to: (1) estimate audience size and usage patterns; (2) understand and save your preferences for future visits; (3) advertise new content and services that relate to your interests; (4) keep track of advertisements and search engine results; (5) compile aggregate data about site traffic and site interactions; and (6) recognize when you return to the Website.

6. Opt-Out Preference Signals

The Site recognizes the Global Privacy Control (“GPC”) signal. If you are using a browser setting or plug-in that sends an opt-out preference signal, we will treat that as a valid request to opt out. Some internet browsers incorporate a “Do Not Track” feature; however, the Site does not currently interpret or alter its practices when it receives these signals due to a lack of uniform industry standards.

7. How We Protect Your Personal Data

We use technical, organizational, and physical data security safeguards designed to help protect against unauthorized access to, use or disclosure of information we collect, use or store. The ways we do this include:

  • Limiting physical access to our premises.
  • Limiting access to the information we collect about you.
  • Ensuring that our ChiWitCon Business Partners and Enova service providers have appropriate technical and organizational security measures to keep your Personal Information protected.
  • As required by law, destroying or de-identifying Personal Information.

We encourage you to keep any passwords you use confidential and to be careful to avoid “phishing” scams where someone may send you an email that appears to be from Enova or ChiWitCon asking for your Personal Information. Enova will not request your ID or password through email. Despite the security measures that we have put in place to protect your Personal Information; no such measures can guarantee security or protect against unauthorized activity.

8. Minor’s Privacy

Our Websites and the ChiWitCon Events are not intended for minors under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect, use, or disclose personal data from minors.

9. Notice to California Residents

We do not disclose personal data obtained through our Website to third parties for their direct marketing purposes without your consent (such as through a badge scan or registration opt-in). Accordingly, we have no obligations under California Civil Code § 1798.83.

10. Links to Third-Party Websites and Services

We may sometimes provide links to other websites, which if you click on them may collect Personal Information about you and direct you to those websites. We are not responsible for the content of these sites, any products or services that may be offered through these sites or any other use of these sites, nor for any data processing and privacy practices associated with such sites. The information practices of those third-party websites linked to our Website are covered by the third party’s own privacy statements and we encourage you to read those.
